What is Special About Rotary?

Rotary is to be a world wide organization of men and women who, at their best, join together for a higher cause, often bridging countries and cultures around our planet.

The member’s association begins with a desire for affiliation with a local group that attracts their interest, grows with service in the context of their club, and then may expand into the opportunistic space of service beyond their community, and possibly beyond their country.

The overlay of Rotary is the world of businesses and professions who meet together weekly to network, deepen their understanding of their community and to support each other and their community.

Rotary as an institution promotes higher values and standards - a major issue especially in developing countries around the world.

Rotary bring out the good we share in common.  Rotary is an incredibly diverse group of 1.2 million individuals from all of the worlds major counties (includes 200 while the UN has 192 member countries) of all religions, ethnicity, and political preferences; Rotary celebrates and supports those things we share in common in a world where the media and interest groups may seek to focus on a divisive single issue.
