Goals for Rotary District 6920

July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012

1.      Promote learning and experimentation in the district and our clubs with attracting, involving and retaining the “next generation” of Rotarians; share the lessons learned; conduct a panel discussions at District Assembly and District Seminar of “next generation” members to explore issues of existing clubs for younger members.

2.      Encourage Club Officers to think of “members as customers”, to solicit candid feedback, and to respond to the feedback; recognize the differing needs of the age-related segments of our membership in our club.

3.      Charter a new Rotary Club primarily of members under 40, with a meeting after working hours, without food costs, and with a agenda adapted for the membership (Dues of $120/yr plus EREY of $100/yr).

4.      Utilize and promote the District and Club Data Base as the accurate and complete central source for contacts, calendar, committees and registration for events; insure that Club Presidents and committee member know how to utilize the run-charts and other information and know how to produce a district directory directly from DaCdb.

5.      Produce, distribute and update the Annual District Directory using data from DaCdb in digital form delivered using email addresses in DaCdb to all Presidents, district leaders and Club officers.

6.      Create and sustain an active Facebook Page with posting by Clubs, DSG recipients, GSE team members, and committees to promote exchange of information within our district.

7.      Substantially change the focus, content and organization of our District Web Site (relevant for both members and prospects) and eliminate duplication of any content that can be linked from DaCdb.

8.      Charter a committee to update and expand the document guiding our District (often called a Manual of Procedure) from our current ten-year-old document; promote its adoption by the District.

9.      Pilot the use of webinars to promote learning that reaches more clubs in our geographically large district, and reach deeper into the clubs; utilize webinars to promote communication, problem solving and exchanges of ideas among Assistant Governors and Club Presidents.

10.  Conduct a successful Group Study Exchange with District 2440 in Turkey and maximize the cross-cultural learning opportunities.

11.  Initiate worthwhile, well-done international matching grants that fully utilize our District Designated Funds not usable for DSG or scholarships.

12.  Conduct a fun District Conference in Savannah that celebrates the positive things happening in our District through stories and encourages participation of families.

13.  Sustain our district membership at its current level for the year.
